Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Version: 1.0 · Effective date: upon publication
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DotSquare website, customer account area, digital products, software, licensing services, update services, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, purchasing or obtaining a product, activating a software license, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and, where applicable, the Software License Agreement ("EULA") and any product-specific terms presented to you.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
DotSquare is operated by Ahmed Abdelrahman, operating as DotSquare, based in Türkiye ("DotSquare", "we", "us", or "our").
For questions regarding the Services, products, licensing, or these Terms, you may contact us at: support@dotsquare.net
For purchases processed through Paddle, Paddle may provide separate transaction-related terms, contact information, invoices, receipts, and buyer support applicable to the purchase transaction.
2. Who May Use the Services
The Services are available to individual consumers and business customers.
By using the Services, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
If you use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under applicable law.
3. Accounts
Some Services require a DotSquare account.
You agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep your account information reasonably up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account where legally attributable to you.
You must notify us promptly at support@dotsquare.net if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.
You may not attempt to access another person's account, licenses, downloads, activations, or other restricted resources.
4. Digital Products
DotSquare provides digital products, including software, plugins, themes, downloadable files, updates, and other digital materials.
Certain products may require:
- a valid license key;
- activation through DotSquare's licensing system;
- continued compliance with the applicable license terms; or
- a valid license in order to receive automated software updates.
Product descriptions, included features, license limits, supported versions, pricing, and other commercial information are displayed on the relevant product or checkout page.
We may change the pricing, features, packaging, or availability of products for future purchases.
Such changes do not by themselves remove rights already granted under an existing purchase or license, except where permitted under the applicable EULA, these Terms, or mandatory law.
5. Purchases Through Paddle
DotSquare uses Paddle to facilitate sales of eligible digital products.
For transactions processed through Paddle, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for the transaction. The customer purchases the relevant product through Paddle, while DotSquare remains the supplier/licensor responsible for making the product and applicable license available.
Paddle may:
- process the payment;
- collect applicable transaction information;
- calculate, collect, and remit applicable taxes;
- issue receipts and invoices; and
- provide transaction-related support.
The specific Paddle entity and buyer terms applicable to a transaction are determined by Paddle and may depend on the customer's location.
Your use of a DotSquare product remains subject to DotSquare's applicable Terms and EULA in addition to the terms governing your transaction with Paddle.
6. Prices and Taxes
The price displayed for a product is the commercial price applicable to that product at the relevant time, subject to any pricing information shown during checkout.
Applicable VAT, sales tax, GST, or other transaction taxes may be included in or added to the displayed price depending on the customer's location and the checkout rules applied by Paddle.
The final amount, including any applicable tax, will be shown during checkout before the purchase is completed.
For Paddle transactions, tax calculation, collection, remittance, and transaction invoicing are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
7. Digital Delivery
Products purchased through DotSquare are delivered electronically.
Depending on the product, delivery may include one or more of the following:
- access through your DotSquare account;
- access through the My Library area;
- a downloadable package;
- a license key;
- software activation rights; or
- access to eligible updates.
You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address and DotSquare account associated with your purchase.
If a completed purchase is not correctly delivered or made available, contact support@dotsquare.net.
8. Refunds, Cancellation, and Consumer Rights
Refunds and cancellation requests are governed by our Refund Policy, the terms applicable to the transaction through Paddle, and any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
Because DotSquare provides digital products and software that may be made available for immediate download, activation, or use, certain statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights may be limited or may cease to apply once digital performance or delivery has begun, where permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms or our Refund Policy removes any consumer right that cannot legally be waived, excluded, or limited.
Where Paddle processes the transaction, refund processing may also be handled through Paddle in its role as Merchant of Record.
9. Intellectual Property
The Services, website content, brand assets, source code, software, documentation, graphics, interfaces, and other materials supplied by DotSquare are owned by or licensed to DotSquare and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing or downloading a product does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights to you.
Instead, where applicable, you receive a limited right to use the product according to the EULA and the license tier or terms applicable to your purchase.
No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms, the EULA, or applicable product-specific terms.
10. Software Licensing
Licensed Software is additionally governed by the DotSquare Software License Agreement ("EULA").
A product license may include conditions such as:
- a maximum number of authorized installations or activations;
- a validity or expiration period;
- restrictions on redistribution or resale;
- requirements for license validation;
- eligibility rules for software updates; and
- suspension or revocation in circumstances permitted by the EULA.
The license limits applicable to a product are those associated with the license issued for the relevant purchase.
If these Terms and the EULA conflict specifically regarding the use, activation, distribution, or licensing of Licensed Software, the EULA governs that licensing issue, subject always to mandatory applicable law.
11. License Keys and Activation Credentials
License keys, activation tokens, and similar credentials are intended only for authorized use with the product and license to which they were issued.
You must not knowingly:
- publish or publicly disclose a license key;
- sell or transfer a license key except where expressly permitted;
- share activation credentials with unauthorized third parties;
- circumvent activation limits;
- bypass license validation;
- manipulate installation identifiers to evade license limits; or
- attempt to obtain software updates without authorization.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to keep license credentials confidential.
If you believe a license key or activation credential has been compromised, contact support@dotsquare.net.
12. Software Updates
Where an eligible product includes update access, DotSquare may provide updates through the account area or through an authenticated software-update mechanism.
The availability of an update may depend on:
- the product;
- the release status;
- the validity of the license;
- the status of the relevant activation; and
- other license conditions applicable to that product.
We do not guarantee that every product will receive updates indefinitely or that updates will add particular features.
We may discontinue support or updates for a product. Where reasonably practical, we will provide notice of material discontinuation affecting supported products.
Discontinuation of future updates does not by itself revoke a perpetual license already lawfully granted, unless another valid basis for termination or revocation exists under the applicable EULA or law.
13. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Services to:
- violate applicable law;
- infringe intellectual property or other legal rights;
- gain unauthorized access to an account, license, system, API, or file;
- probe, attack, disrupt, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services;
- circumvent payment, licensing, activation, validation, or download controls;
- distribute malware or malicious code;
- misuse automated interfaces in a way that materially harms the Services; or
- resell or redistribute DotSquare software contrary to the applicable EULA.
Reasonable use of documented APIs and update endpoints by properly licensed software is permitted.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend access to an account, license, activation, update service, or other part of the Services where reasonably necessary to:
- address a suspected security incident;
- investigate apparent license abuse;
- protect the Services or other users;
- comply with applicable law or a lawful request;
- enforce these Terms or the EULA; or
- respond to a refunded or otherwise invalidated purchase where the associated entitlement is no longer valid.
Temporary license suspension is distinct from permanent revocation where our licensing system supports that distinction.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we may provide an explanation or an opportunity to contact support.
Nothing in this section permits us to remove or restrict mandatory legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Availability and Maintenance
We aim to maintain reliable access to the website, customer account, license-validation services, and update infrastructure.
However, no internet-based service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption or error.
The Services may temporarily be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, hosting failures, network failures, third-party services, force majeure events, or other operational circumstances.
We will use reasonable efforts to restore affected Services.
Where practical, planned maintenance or a material discontinuation may be communicated in advance.
16. Backups and Compatibility
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your own websites, applications, databases, files, and systems before installing or updating software.
Unless specifically stated for a product, we do not guarantee compatibility with every:
- hosting environment;
- operating system;
- PHP version;
- WordPress version;
- third-party plugin or theme;
- browser;
- server configuration; or
- third-party integration.
Product-specific compatibility information may be provided separately and forms part of the product description where expressly stated.
17. Warranties
We aim to provide products and Services with reasonable care and skill.
Except for rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Services and digital products are provided on an "as available" basis and we do not guarantee that they will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every third-party environment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any statutory warranty, conformity right, remedy, or consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, DotSquare is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from the use of our products or services.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. Business Customers
If you purchase or use the Services primarily for a trade, business, craft, or professional purpose, you are acting as a business customer rather than as a consumer.
If you act on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that business.
Any consumer-specific rights referenced in these Terms apply only where you legally qualify as a consumer.
20. Third-Party Services
The Services may depend on or link to third-party services, including Paddle, hosting providers, email providers, software platforms, and other integrations.
Those third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
DotSquare is not responsible for third-party services to the extent that their operation is outside our reasonable control, subject to any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Türkiye.
Any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first at support@dotsquare.net so we can try to resolve it.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary, including to reflect:
- changes in the Services or products;
- security or technical changes;
- legal or regulatory developments; or
- changes in our commercial operations.
When we make a material change, we will update the version and effective date and, where required by applicable law or reasonably appropriate, provide additional notice.
Changes will apply from their stated effective date.
We will not use a change to these Terms to retroactively remove mandatory rights or remedies that already apply to a completed transaction.
Where continued use after a change legally constitutes acceptance, continued use after the effective date may indicate acceptance of the updated Terms.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the maximum extent legally permitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect where possible.
24. Entire Agreement
For matters governed by these Terms, these Terms together with any applicable:
- EULA;
- Refund Policy;
- Privacy Policy;
- product-specific terms; and
- transaction terms presented through Paddle
form the relevant contractual framework for use and purchase of the Services.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory rights under applicable law.
